Founder Scott Hulett began his career in pest management in 1993 while serving in the United States Air Force. At the Air Force School of Entomology, he earned certifications across all major pest management categories — training that established a science‑based, systems‑driven approach that still defines the company today.
After military service, Scott managed a branch for a family‑owned pest control company before beginning a 20‑year career with Walt Disney World in Central Florida. Operating in an environment where standards are non‑negotiable reinforced the importance of consistency, structure, and accountability.
Entrepreneurship followed
In 2014, Scott co‑founded Growers Trust, developing natural oil‑based pesticide solutions for home gardeners and distributing products nationwide through Amazon. After selling his ownership in 2018, he returned to field operations and launched Canopy Pest Management Services in 2021, specializing in rodent exclusion and structural protection.
In 2023, he relocated to Alabama, helping businesses refine safety programs, training systems, and operational efficiency. In 2024, he founded Legacy Heat Remediation for residential and commercial bed bug treatment. By 2025, recognizing the need for comprehensive service offerings, the company unified its vision under one name: Canopy Pest Management.
The name reflects both structure and philosophy.
